Dossier: Sho-sa Masuyo Goto
on: 05 Jan, 2008, 04:36:38 am

Many years after the Blakist Jihad, a soldier was laid to rest in a grave that had long borne his name.  Many of the accomplishments directly attributable to him and his unit will likely never be fully known.  Here, however, is a glimpse at the personnel file of an enigma:  Sho-sa Masuyo Goto; KIA (as a Tai-i) July 3052; laid to rest (as a Tai-sa) Sep 3098.

Given those skills, I'm gonna guess homes here was killed outside of his mech.  Wink

Good gunnery and piloting skills don't save you from headcaps; keep in mind, I'm foreshadowing his death, as the timeline he's involved in has yet to reach that point.   Afro

As another footnote, he started off as a "pure" CBT pilot; P and G skills only.  After I took over the CBT campaign, the consensus was to switch it to a MW2 campaign; characters were created using those rules, adjusting/adding skills as needed to flesh them out.  That campaign was over long before MW3E (CBT RPG) came out, so I converted him once again.  He's since been "reactivated" in a MegaMek campaign I'm running as part of a background for a semi-fanfic.

Ah, yes, I remember those days when your favorite mechwarrior was represented by four sets of stats: Gunnery, Piloting, Pilot Hits, and kill count.

It was kind of a pain when the first edition RPG came out because I bulked out on piloting and gunnery only to get mugged outside of my mech by some dude who picked on me because the clerk at the Quickie Mart was too tough for him.
