Ok T:SCC has been kinda lack luster to me of late but tonights epp actualy made me want to keep watching. Also limited Commercials was a nice addition to the nights viewing. I especialy enjoyed the dress down Reiss gave that cadet about Soldiering being a game.
On to Heroes
Ok so the only way to save the world is to let Peter become Sylar jr and for Hiro to dig up Kensai? Um anyone else think these are two very bad idea's that are going to lead to some very bad things going down? I am still lost on the whole plan for this formula plot but it keeps changing things up making it very interesting. Cant wait to see next weeks epp is going to play out with Claire trying to figure out why her dad is working with Sylar. |

| Somehow I just knew they were going to eventually dig Kensei back up. I can't wait to see how that plays out. A good Sylar makes sense, although I'm not sure about the whole wonder twins theme...and next week? Looks like Arthur Petrelli is back! |

SCC got much more interesting last night. It was again interesting to see a terminator doing what they do, tracking down people and killing them. It's still amusing that skynet has so little information on these people that terminators have to go around killing everyone with the same name. I am wondering why Skynet was after this kid though. He was a soldier in the resistance obviously but his big act was killing the Ogre to free Connor. Since he was killed in the blast I'd imagine Skynet would have had trouble figuring out who he was.
At one point it felt like the Terminator going back in time was a big deal. One big try to eliminate the threat of the Connors. Now it seems like Skynet is sending back a whole freaking army and trying to kill everyone. |

my guess would be that Skynet has figured out that for all his salvation complex John Conner is nothing without the people who help make him the man who fights Skynet on humanities behalf. Also there is the problem of the Conners targetting key peices of Tech that can and will lead to Skynets construction. Everytime the Conners stop another piece of the Skynet puzzel from being put together it seems Skynet redoubles the effort to make sure that peice of tech comes to be as well as target a threat that can and will hurt Skynet in the future. This kid that John and Derek saved was a very tacticaly brilliant mind who helped John organize the remenents of the U.S. Millitary into the Tech Com (i think thats what they were called) as well as do logistical and tactical planning. Though with the number of reprogramed machines future John seems to surround himself with it makes me wonder why he even needs certain people after a while.

I was very impressed with the Heroes episode. The complete role reversals in the '4 years hence' portions of the show were unexpected. Sylar as a devoted dad?? With a kid named after HRG?? WTH?? |

I think I'm gonna start watching Heroes with booze at my side. Maybe then I can numb the pain from all the stupid on the screen. Or maybe I'll just start watching One Tree Hill instead. Might be better for my liver that way.
But Chuck rocked! I hope John Larroquette comes back at some point. |

That's pretty much how the world works: not through Conspiracies Carrying Out Grand Strategies, but through Affinity Networks. | Call me absolutely nuts, but I'm wondering if Noah (Sylar's son), isn't actually HRG himself. He could easily be transported back to the past, and might have been at the moment of explosion. I was also under the opinion, thanks to the discussion on the Heroes Wiki, that Sylar lost all his previous abilities when he got the Shanti virus (other than TK ability) but clearly he was painting with funky white eyes and exploding like Ted. |

SCC was good. They need to be wary of descending into "Terminator of the Week" syndrome, though. Having Cromartie lurking out there is good so long as he doesn't make too many failed attempts, but I think no more than 2 or three random Terminators per season.
That said, stealing a page from T3 (and hopefully the only page) and having Skynet target other important figures in the resistance is a smart move, although Future!Bedel didn't really seem to be that high up in the ranks. But he did save John Connor, so that would put him on Skynet's list.
I think the T-1001 was actually surprised at the idea that there were two fellow machines running amuck at her nuclear plant. There's still enough ambiguity about her mission to keep that thread interesting.
Also interesting was Cameron's appearance at the military school at the end. Or lack of appearance, I guess. She could have engaged the T-888 but chose not to. Was it a matter of "John has to learn what he's capable of doing" or "John can get whacked by Cousin Fred over there and I'm technically not violating my Termination Override order"?
There was a measure of bitterness at Derek's "We all die for you" line at the end. There's an amazing amount of cognitive dissonance involved in simultaneously hero-worshiping and resenting the adult version of the savior of mankind who also happens to be the teenage nephew sitting next to you. I really hope they run with that.
As for Heroes - yes there was an abundance of "Holy Crap!" moments. The problem, I think, is that's pretty much all the show is now - a string of big geek out moments with little or no attention or care paid to how the story proceeds from one to the next. It's the worst kind of comic book writing.
Parkman's spirit guide being the turtle was so incredibly apt, though.
Last night's Chuck is sitting on the DVR waiting to be watched. And Larroquette makes almost anything better. |

SCC was good. They need to be wary of descending into "Terminator of the Week" syndrome, though. Having Cromartie lurking out there is good so long as he doesn't make too many failed attempts, but I think no more than 2 or three random Terminators per season. Fully agree there. Too many random termies will lessen the threat, since they'll all have to be dealt with, and it lets you spend more time playing with the main characters. There's a lot going on in the small group and frankly it needs to be explored rather than hidden behind the latest way to kill off this weeks terminator.
That said, stealing a page from T3 (and hopefully the only page) and having Skynet target other important figures in the resistance is a smart move, although Future!Bedel didn't really seem to be that high up in the ranks. But he did save John Connor, so that would put him on Skynet's list. That was what I was getting at. He saved John but that's about it. Saving John alone might make him termination worthy but without being on their hit list before how would they know who he is after he's reduced to a pink mist?
I think the T-1001 was actually surprised at the idea that there were two fellow machines running amuck at her nuclear plant. There's still enough ambiguity about her mission to keep that thread interesting. The T-1001 is quickly becoming my favorite character right along with the detective. She's not acting like a traditional terminator. Her quips after killing reinforce that. So what's her deal? She's obviously got a lot more going on upstairs than a traditional terminator so what's going on there? I'm liking the idea that she's Skynet (or a portion there of) come back in time to make sure she's created and things go her way overall.
The detective, well I can't get enough of him.Cromartie's "We'll see," comment along with his interactions with the T-1001 just have me dying to know what's going on there.
It's a toss up, but given the way the writing is traditionally in a TV show I'm thinking it'll come down on the side of let him see what he can do on his own.
I think part of its brought on by meeting the younger version of this kid. It's one thing to meet someone you'll know in the future who has a decent life. It's quite another to tell him, "No, keep doing exactly what you're doing we need you to be trained and ready to die to save John's life in fifteen years."
He's aware of the need. He's aware that Biddel will be ready to do it. He knows he'd do it if Biddel wasn't there. Most of all he knows there's not one damn thing he can do to change it nor would he if he could. |

This made me laugh, as that would be both more faithful AND more like Baywatch at the same time, i say bring the Hoff back as Mitch, not Michael |

I got to sit down and watch the past two Heroes episodes back-to-back (I love TiVo!)
My thoughts: Linderman is falling into a Lucifer-esque role. His comment about falling great heights to achieve greatness, or something like that struck that chord.
I agree that the tortoise being Parkman's totem was funnily appropriate. He falls in love with a speedster, after all..."Tortoise and the Hare."
I wonder if the Congress (of the future) approving making an army of "specials" is what brings about the destruction of the world?
Something I caught in the episode where Tracey goes to meet Dr. Zimmerman: the German magnetic manipulator from Level 5 was in the family photo, unless it was just someone that looked very similar. |

| I suspect Linderman doesn't exist at all, but that would mean that Peter had access to Linderman's power (even if he didn't know it). Either Nathan is seeing another vision, like the half-burnt version of himself he was seeing before, or Maury is behind the scenes pulling his strings. |
