------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ==Variants:== Designed in response to field data experienced with the TSH-7S, the -8H refit is meant to be more of a heavy hitter, still capable of engaging at range but better suited to deal significant damage to attacking headhunter mechs. Mounting a pair of Heavy PPCs, the Tai-Sho now packs a significantly heavier punch, at the cost of armor protection. Though theoretically weakening the protection of the C3 network, many have found when facing the Clans and indeed the Manaie Domine the added power helped put down mechs before they get close enough to deal significant levels of damage.
Ever tinkering with their mechs, many pilots and their engineers have opted to only mount one Heavy PPC in exchange for more armor, creating a sythesis of the two officially supported variants.

Make it twin ERPPCs, a LRM15, more DHS and heavier standard armor and we'll finally have a Tai-Sho able to use its weapons effectively! But HPPCs for self-defense is a nice thought.

Make it twin ERPPCs, a LRM15, more DHS and heavier standard armor and we'll finally have a Tai-Sho able to use its weapons effectively! But HPPCs for self-defense is a nice thought.  But we already have that  --> http://www.classicbattletech.com/forumarchive/index.php/topic,41262.0.html... Well, not quite, I used a LRM10, Artemis and Guardian ECM instead of a LRM15. The two HPPCs definitely say "Stay Back!" but I worry about the heat effects on a mech that's already so slow. Cheers, LCC
