Hello, all.
So, I'm curious again, and to feed my cungry curiosity, I have started another poll. It's a simple one, the kind you've all done before. And as you can tell by the roster, it has a defined time period. (However, I'd still like to hear from people who aren't fans of said era; odds are one of these guys is still your homeys.)
Rules:
1) Limit one vote per person; make it count.
2) Running for 30 days.
3) I will not tell you why I'm running this poll, and may not do so afterward either.
4) I will not tell you who's winning; you'll have to wait for the end.
5) I really don't care why they're your favorite faction, and would appreciate it if you didn't tell me who you voted for and why.
6) You can ask me questions that have anything to do with this poll other than "why". Failure to comply means you forfeit cookies.
7) Mercenaries, independent worlds, and micro-factions like the Bannson's Raiders and Clan Wolf (in-Exile) are non-entities here, so don't bother appealing for them to be added.

Is it possible to add a 'no favourite faction' option? or is this for a project that is intended for an existing faction?

When I prefer the Nova Cats, would I have to vote for the Draconis Combine or why are they missing?
Would make me really sick to have to vote for the Dracs...

You could cast your vote for the Spirit Cats in the Clan Protectorate by voting for FWL, you know. |

Well, that doesn't really help my confusion  But the Nova Cats exist even in the latest Dark Age history, as far as I know. |

The curious thing is, I cannot accurately answer the question without a timeline context. My beloved 3025 CapCon is quite different from the rising star under Sun-Tzu. Then again, I'm partial to the 3025 period anyways, and would prefer to RPG, campaign or plainly slug it out on the 3025 Marik periphery border over any most 3060 settings anyways.
The low-down periphery is attractive for remaining 3025-ish for a long time.

Well, one of the good things about Battletech is that while most games with different factions tend to have their "good" and "evil" factions, all Battletech factions are (variable) shades of grey. Also, while some factions may ally with each other - there are quite a few still left to fight with (and attacking their allies is quite ok for some factions - and for some attacking themselves is a important part of a balanced diet ) so, factions have enemies and some factions have vendetta's against other factions but if you are playing "in character" there will be some factions that you're not allowed to attack. all excepte one faction. There is only one faction that is (in the current time line) everyone's enemy. One faction that manages to wear a Black Hat and White Hat at the same time. One faction that can (and is) fighting everyone from one side of the Inner Sphere to the other (and perhaps beyond?). Word of Blake If you need a "the enemy of my enemy is not my friend" faction - the WoB *is* your answer. They are on their way to uniting the factions of the BT universe in a way that has not been seen since the fall of the Star League (if only for a very short time). heh heh - just realised because I haven't voted I haven't breached rule 5)
but I suspect cookies are reserved for those that vote, so ..... NO COOKIE FOR ME! 
I guess I'll just have to eat cake instead |
