URBIE-LORD 3!

That's right.  The day before GenCon begins (Wednesday, August 12th) the battle for UrbanMech supremacy will begin.

The madness begins at 6 PM (Eastern Daylight Savings Time) at the Game Preserve Greenwood.  It is about 15 minutes south of Downtown.

If you come early to GenCon, come to Urbie-Lord.

Synopsis:

Tricked-Out UrbanMechs: Check.

Massive Free-For-All: Check.

TacOps Power Ups: Check.

How can this possibly go wrong?  PM with questions and such if you have them.  Everything shall be provided.

Store info:  http://www.gamepreserve.com/articles.asp?ID=122

Sad but true, unfortunately.  Last year there were 14 pilots running (as much as an Urbie does) amok.

I understand that.  It happens.  I still hope for good turn out.

Some year I would love to use all 30 of my Urbies...

It is not walking distance from downtown, unfortunately.  I might be able to organize a minion to fetch some people, though.

Ah, to go to Cons. I think my Urbie-chu could wreck some havok (people passing out from Laughter at the very least) in such an engagement.

There is a new twist this year:

THREE different Urbie variants!  Long, medium, and a devastating short range variant!

They were on the web site as an April Fool's preview of Tac Ops. It took the idea of power ups and repairs from video games and added them to the board game. I'm sure someone has them floating around still.

Barring that I just don't get my keister out the door in time or one of the trip cancelling possibilities I've mentioned before... I'll try to make this too.

Re: URBIE-LORD 3!

I once took a bunch or Urbies in a big rolling never-ending game. Two Urbies and an Urbie IIC. They lasted a turn. A turn. I love my Urbies.

Hey Mattlov, you got a pic of your Urbie Battalion for us?

Not yet.  Eventually I'll get them all together (and finish painting the last few).
